The leading small ship river, ocean and expedition travel company, Viking, have partnered with The Game Fair 2022, which is to be held from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 July at Ragley Hall and and the GWCT Scottish Game Fair, 1-3 July Scone Palace. These much-loved events, bring to-gether over 150,000 countryside enthusiasts over the course of 3-days to celebrate the best of the Great British countryside.
Viking, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, offers culturally enriching, destina-tion-focused voyages on rivers and oceans worldwide for experienced travellers curious about the world, its diverse cultures and varied history. With every detail on board a Viking ship de-signed to enrich and enhance the travel experience, guests can fully immerse themselves in each destination. On shore, Viking takes travellers closer to the heart of the places they visit, and the Viking way of exploration offers a wealth of behind-the-scenes insights and opportunities.
Like the Game Fair’s, Viking is passionate about offering quality experiences for all, Viking will launch its new expedition voyages this year with two brand new 378-guest sister ships, Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris. The first vessel, Viking Octantis, will embark on voyages to Antarc-tica and North America’s Great Lakes starting in January 2022. A second expedition vessel, Vi-king Polaris, will debut in August 2022, sailing to Antarctica and the Arctic. The ships are opti-mally sized and built for expeditions – small enough to navigate remote polar regions and the St. Lawrence River, while large enough to provide superior handling and stability in the roughest seas. Game Fair visitors will be able to explore the wide range of river, ocean and expedition voyages designed for culturally curious travellers in the comfort of the Viking lounge next to the Main Arena.
Wendy Atkin-Smith, Managing Director of Viking UK, commented: “We have been long-time sponsors of The Game Fair and The GWCT Scottish Game Fair, and we are delighted to be con-tinuing our partnership in 2022, an important year for us as it marks Viking’s 25th anniversary. The events connect people from around the UK who are passionate about the countryside. Many of our own guests share this passion for the great outdoors, both at home and when travelling abroad, so we are pleased to be able to help bring everyone together this summer to celebrate the Great British countryside. We look forward to helping visitors plan their next voyage now that we can all start exploring the world again – whether it’s around the British Isles or to Antarctica, our newest destination.”
“We are delighted to welcome back Viking as an official sponsor of The Game Fair and The GWCT Scottish Game Fair. It is a great fit for their brand which has always developed and pushed boundaries throughout its history. It is an exciting opportunity for our visitors to dis-cover all that Viking has to offer across the world.” said Ashley Cooper Head of Commercial Development at The Game Fair and The GWCT Scottish Game Fair.
