The ever-popular shooting area offers a range of experiences and competitions for experts and beginners alike. We have a great range to suit or challenge all at affordable prices. In 2019 the Clay Shooting is organised by Pentangle Shooting Services and Buchan Field Sports.

Clays Competitions

Competitions run throughout the weekend with prizes awarded daily for each competition. Entries open at 10am at Shooting Control (north-east corner of the shooting arena) where full details of rules, entry requirements and prizes can be found.

The three overall highest scores from the Sporting (irrespective of class) from each of the three days will go into a Super Final on Sunday afternoon with the chance of winning the ‘Top Gun’ prize for this competition, an automatic Clay Trap kindly donated by Promatic.

Cartridges will be available for purchase at the main control tent in the shooting arena, where you can get your sporting entry and any other information you may require.

Please note: All cartridges must be Fibre Wad with a maximum shot load of 28g.

Take advantage of the on-site storage for your shotguns. If you wish to temporarily store your shotgun during the fair you must produce a valid shotgun certificate.
