As part of our series of guest blogs from influencers in ‘the field’ we’re delighted to delve into the world of fly fishing and introduce twin brothers William & Alastair Peake. They share a passion for fly fishing, adventure and the great outdoors – a perfect combination for The GWCT Scottish Game Fair!

Will and Al work primarily as ghillies on the River Dee and between seasons they travel extensively, always with fly rods in hand.  Al and Will have fished around the globe in some very special, far flung, and often prestigious waters for many freshwater species; they have explored the southern reaches of Patagonia, pursuing huge sea trout and monster king salmon, and learned how techniques can differ for the different species. Between this and their four seasons both fishing and guiding in New Zealand’s incomparable South Island, enjoying the world class trout fishing, they are well versed to teach, advise and promote the sport of fly-fishing to a range of audiences.

As fly fishing guides and casting instructors, they decided to explore further opportunities to promote the sport, be it to help you make your first step in to the world of fly fishing or to help you brush up your skills and techniques for that special trip. Explore some of adventure and techniques on their video channel.

Come and meet TwinPeakes Fly Fishing at this year’s fair for advice on equipment, best techniques and experience driven “know how”, so that you are prepared and inspired for your adventure or first forays into the sport.
