Scotland is a beautiful country, blessed with stunning mountains, rivers, lochs and coastlines.

The GWCT Scottish Game Fair is a place you can learn more about the countryside in Scotland and talk to those who live there and work in the landscape.

As part of this, we have teamed up with various individuals from the worlds of fishing, stalking, working dogs and wild food. All of whom will be at the Fair to answer your questions and give fascinating talks on their subjects.

Here’s a little bit more about our Ambassadors. You can follow their activity on Instagram, Facebook and on the hashtag #SGF

Chris Dalton

A big name in ethical hunting, Chris heads up South Ayrshire Stalking and provides authentic Scottish deer stalking adventures open to everyone, no matter their background or experience. Chris is a regular contributor to Shooting Times and is almost always accompanied by his hound Zosia.

He comments: “Our goal is to provide effective and sustainable deer management, working closely with owners and management teams, whether that be in commercial forestry, private land or estates.”  On one Highland Estate, Ayrstalk improved the quality of deer by culling weaker and older animals. By reducing deer numbers, regeneration was greatly improved in native broadleaf and ancient juniper forests, as browsing pressure was reduced. As Chris says, it’s all about sustainability.
