Although Mark McBrearty began his career in banking in the south of England, he has spent the past 11 years in the insurance sector and has been with NFU Mutual – the headline sponsors of this year’s GWCT Scottish Game Fair – since September 2014.
Helping rural businesses, families and communities is both his and NFU Mutual’s passion, thanks to a string of initiatives, from education and welfare projects to charity funding and working with the police to combat rural crime.
Mark explained: “I am now doing a job I love, in the country I love with an amazing group of people.
“My current position as regional manager for Scotland affords me the opportunity to not only work with our fantastic agency network but with a tremendous team who enable our business to operate so effectively.
“The role is extensive but it boils down to ensuring we have the correct people, processes and culture to not only maintain but improve the fantastic customer service we have become known for.
“My aim is threefold – enhance NFU Mutual’s reputation, be the insurer of choice for people and business within our target demographic and support the integration of technology to complement our current proposition.”
He added: “We are delighted to be partnering with the GWCT as headline sponsors of the Scottish Game Fair once again.
“This event is our opportunity to connect with the rural community face-to-face, catch up with customers and provide a relaxed and safe environment for people after what has been a very tough and long year.
As this is our first physical event since before the pandemic, the team and I are very much looking forward to supporting and seeing everyone there.”
