The Fair is open from 9am until 6pm

From Dundee, Edinburgh or Glasgow, follow the signs for the ‘A93 Braemar’. We are situated two miles north of Perth on the A93.

Drivers should follow the Official Traffic Directional signage which will take them to the GWCT Scottish Game Fair.

Parking is free, courtesy of Beretta.

Train

Regular train services arrive in Perth Station from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee to Perth – for timetable information contact National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950 or visit www.thetrainline.com. Transfer to the GWCT Scottish Game Fair is then by taxi or bus.

Bus

Perth’s bus station, just a few steps away from the train station, has buses to Scone Palace. Buses 3 and 58 buses leave a few times per day.

Pedestrian access is via the North Lodge entrance to Scone Palace (not the main gate) and down Yew Tree Walk, then along the side of the car park to the Scottish Game Fair gate.

Bicycle

All ages welcome. Accompanied Children under five years enter free of charge.

The Scottish Charity Air Ambulance is also operating a Buggy Service from the car parks to the Main Entrance for visitors.

Dogs are welcome across the event, in all areas.

You can leave your dog at the Dog Creche for up to four hours.

Open 09:00 – 17:00 daily

A donation (£5/dog/hour ) – All proceeds go to Samsalin dog rescue.

The Creche is situated in a quiet, shady place with experienced staff looking after the dogs in a safe kennel area. It is open to all dog owners and is the perfect solution for bored dogs who might find the event noisy and overpowering, especially in hot weather.

Please do not leave your dog in your car while you visit. Our dog patrols work with the RSPCA and Police to release any dogs left in cars.

The Dog Creche is managed by Nigel Bowler who has worked with search and rescue dogs for the last 10 years and is a qualified K9 responder with over 30 years experience.

Standard admission tickets are valid for any day, as is the two-day ticket.

Enclosure packages are day specific.

The GWCT Scottish Game Fair is pleased to operate a scheme to provide one complimentary entry ticket for any adult unable to attend the Fair unaided. We are afraid it does not extend to children as they must be accompanied by an adult to attend the Fair.

Supporting Documentation:

All free Carer/Personal Assistant tickets require evidence of supporting documentation. This is mandatory in order for the Carer/Personal Assistant ticket to be issued. Please bring along a copy of one of the below relevant documents:

  • Middle or Higher Rate DLA for care and/or mobility
  • Receipt of personal independence payment (PIP)
  • Evidence of being severely sight impaired
  • Recognised assistance dog ID card

If you require a free Carer/Personal Assistant ticket in order to attend the Fair please purchase a standard ticket at the relevant price in advance. Please make your way to the Fair and come to the ticket office adjacent to the entrance where your Carer/PA ticket will be issued and you will have fast track entry. Please do not queue at the on-day sales points as they are not able to issue the free Carer/Personal Assistant ticket.

Yes – make sure you get your hand stamped as you leave by one of our volunteers on the entrance gate.

You can prebook parking via our Gold Forward Parking service which allows you to park near the entrance in a reserved area.

Yes. There is a parking area for people with disabilities close to the entrances to the Fair site, blue badges must be displayed and the car park stewards will direct you to the forward parking area.

Event Mobility

Event Mobility (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) will be providing electric mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs at this event for the use of mobility impaired, disabled and elderly visitors.

Online bookings must be made two days before the event.

Bookings cannot be taken during the event. If there is spare equipment available at the event it is offered on a first come, first served basis only.

Own mobility scooter?

If you bring your own mobility scooter, please ensure that it is fit for purpose, bearing in mind that the event takes place in a grassy field. The Scottish Game Fair will not take any responsibility for accidents resulting from use of unsuitable private mobility scooters.

It is a grass site with some tracks, most areas are wheelchair accessible.

Yes, located at The Scottish Charity Air Ambulance stand who are running the Shop & Drop facility.Visitors can leave their shopping while they enjoy the Fair for a small donation.

Yes. Show guides in book form will be available at The Scottish Game Fair.

Yes. There are numerous bars and catering areas around the site.

Yes.  The Riverside Restaurant serves breakfast 8-11am, lunch 12-3pm.

There is a ‘No smoking’ and ‘No vaping’ policy in place for all structures.

The public and staff employed to work within structures will only be allowed to smoke or vape outside – within the site.

Scottish Air Ambulance buggy service at Scottish Game Fair

The Scottish Charity Air Ambulance is running a buggy service for visitors to travel between the car parks and the entrance gate. This is based on donations and run by volunteers throughout the day for visitors. Particularly useful after a long day of walking around or for those with lots of shopping. There are two bugggies that run together.
