Gundogs

The following Gundog Events (sponsored by Savills) will be held:

1. Scurry (sponsored by Countrywear)
   
• All three days 9.30 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
  
• Open to all handlers and any breed of dog.
  
• Entries taken on the day.
  
• Prizes each day - First, Second & Third.
  
• Also best Lady and Best Junior.
  
• Entry: £3.00
  


2. Any Variety Novice Spaniel Test
   
   • Friday 1 July, 9.30a.m. - 12.30p.m.
     
   • Limited to 16 dogs.
     
   • Judges Mr E Robertson and Mr G Clark.
     
   
   
3. Any Variety Novice Retriever Test
   
   • Friday 1 July, 1.30p.m. - 4.30p.m.
     
   • Limited to 16 dogs.
     
   • Judges Mr A Rees and Mrs E Munro Ferguson.
     
   
   
4. Any Variety Open Spaniel Test
   
   • Saturday 2 July, 9.30a.m. - 12.30p.m.
     
   • Limited to 16 dogs.
     
   • Judges Mr E Robertson and Mr J Bailey.
     
   
   
5. Any Variety Open Retriever Test
   
   • Saturday 2 July, 1.30 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.
     
   • Limited to 16 dogs.
     
   • Judges Mr A Rees and Mr J Henderson.
     
   
   
6. Team Event
   
   • Teams of one spaniel and one retriever.
     
   • Sunday 3 July, 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
     
   • Limited to 12 teams.
     
   • Judges Mr A Rees and Mr J Bailey.
     
   
   
7. Junior Handlers Test
   
   • Sunday 3 July, 1.30 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.
     
   • Open to handlers 16 & under with any gundog.
     
   • No entry fee.
     
   • Two classes, age 8 years and under and over 8 years of age.
     
   • Judges Mr P Holmes and Miss A Faulds.
     
   
   
8. Entries
   
   • Entry to all the Working Tests, other than the Junior Handlers, will be by invitation, which will take into account the results of recent Working Tests.
     
   • In the event of too many acceptances there will be a ballot.
     
   • Entry Fee for the Tests & Team Event is £20 per entry. There is no entry fee for Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust members.
     
   • Entries for the Junior Handlers Test will be taken at Gundog Control during the Fair.
     
   • Prizes and certificates will be awarded to competitors placed First, Second & Third in the Tests, the Team Event and Junior Handlers (both classes).
     
   • Events, other than the Scurry and Junior Handlers, are held under Kennel Club Rules.
